Bunchgrass Lookout Road is the only public road on the mountain. The turbines easily observed from Burney are adjacent to Timber Ridge Road, which is owned by Pattern Energy. Sightseers are encouraged to keep a minimum 500-foot distance between themselves and the turbine towers.
The painted boxes, all brightly painted ammo cans, will be a series of caches on back mountain roads. All of the roads are well traveled and will take you to some great areas. There are some awesome views along the way and from time to time you may see wildlife. Ninety percent of our caches take you to unique spots, so follow the painted boxes series.
