Geocache Description:

Please use the parking coordinates and do not drive down the abandoned rail bed, or park along side Highway 14, Thank You.

I have always liked trains and when I drove by and noticed this I just had to stop and check it out. After a little exploring I decided there needed to be a cache here, so you are looking for a 50 Cal ammo can hidden by the Evil One himself. It is placed along the old abandoned CKR Railway that runs parallel to Highway 14. While walking the trail, I noticed wild horses in the field to the west. Be respectful and try to not disturb them.

A little history...

The Central Kansas Railway (CKR) (reporting mark CKRY) was a short-line railroad operating 900 miles (1,448 km) of trackage in the U.S. state of Kansas and west to Towner, Colorado, most all of which were former Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway lines. Owned by Omnitrax, CKR's main business was from the Kansas wheat harvests, as well as other traffic. The Watco Companies of Pittsburg, Kansas purchased all of the CKR's lines on May 31, 2001 and formed the Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad. (more history)

It was a little hard to rate this cache as it will be a different experience for each cacher. Just pay attention, use caution, and you will have no problems. Enjoy.
