This is one of two caches placed to honor the Cozort Family who donated the 25 acres that make up this park. Longtime friends of ours, these caches are placed with their blessing.
As can be seen by reading the marker at the edge of the park, Wayne Cozort served his country, his state, and his community. We had the pleasure of knowing him and his family through church activities. His grandson, who grew up playing here, has great memories of his grandfather, including times when he would make popcorn or his special salad dressing for the family. We are grateful that this land was given to the city to enjoy.
The beginning swag in this cache was made up of things related to Wayne's world - building, golf, and patriotism. Because of the muggles in the area we've moved it around and replaced it numerous times. We have finally made it smaller and - hopefully, trickier - in the hope that you folks will find it but the muggles will not. Please replace it EXACTLY as you found it. If you are not able to do that, please camo it the best you can and contact us to finish the job.
UPDATE: Had to move it again. It's a good bit easier to find, too.
