As a basic fire fighter in the RFS one of the things you will learn is how to best combat a fire.
Fire is a chemical reaction between OXYGEN, HEAT and FUEL. These 3 components are known as the FIRE TRIANGLE. To extinguish a fire all you have to do is remove one side of the FIRE TRIANGLE- It's as simple as that.
The next practical thing you will learn is how to get the wet stuff on the red stuff. This is usually by means of the water on the fire truck. If you need more than a few minute's water, you will need to “SHIP” a standpipe, to lay a supply line to the fire truck, so you don’t run out of water.
You won't need a tape measure, it's all here
At waypoint 1, find out the diameter of the supply line to the “ TWIN QUAD SUCTION BOOSTER” . Then add 44 to your answer. This will then be the northing - S 31° 33._ _ _
At waypoint 2, find out the supply diameter of this outlet. This is the most common size of a Hydrant. Then add 140 to your answer. This will then be the Easting - E 152°51._ _ _
Checksum is 165- Add your two pipe sizes together = 165. You will now have the final co-ordinates of the cache. The next thing you will learn here is how to indicate to your Pump operator that you need water....
WATER ON!
PS. Don't feel uncomfortable about being here, we all know it's there, it's all under control.
You need to sign your geocaching name in the logbook in the cache. If you don't, the online log will be deleted.
