For starters, we haven't actually moved. We've lived here for several years, renting. When the property became available for sale, we bought it, because we wanted to stay here. We're close to the city, close to the Torrens linear park, close to shops and close to the O-bahn.
But again, it's not quite that simple. You might notice that this cache is a simple traditional in a sea of puzzle caches. On further inspection, you might notice that the sea of puzzle caches is actually a sea of mostly ZYTHERAN puzzle caches.
That's right, we went into a huge amount of debt in order to remain in the middle of Z territory. Doing so probably will cause many people to question our sanity (if they haven't already).
It all started simply enough. Then around 4 years ago, "Beyond Ultraviolet" became our closest unfound cache, just over a kilometre away. A 5/5. Oh, the horror! What could be worse?
Glad you asked. What could be worse? At the time of hiding this cache, there were SIX Zytheran puzzle caches within 400 metres of our house.
So this cache serves a few purposes. Yes, it's to mark buying a house, and celebrate the insanity of where we live. It's also to provide a simple, easy refuge from the surrounding caches. It's to block out another 161m radius so Z can't put another one here that we can't find.
But mainly, it's to highlight our favourite place to walk in the evenings. The cache is at the start of a small foot track that diverges from the main sealed track and follows close to the river. It's particularly picturesque in the evening light. There's plenty of re-vegetation going on here, and lots of grand old trees too. We encourage you to wander further down the path. The only reason we didn't put the cache further down there is because it's too close to a Z cache.
You will need to be stealthy as people will be approaching from both the main path and the smaller path, and both are in view. Please ensure the cache is replaced as you found it, and the little latch is secure on the container.
