SAPPHY'S-ADVENTURERS: Unfortunately due to the floods caused by Storm Desmond, this cache was washed away. Thought that I had disabled it then, but been very busy, so have not had time to replace it. In addition, my email had become hacked, and shut down, so didn't receive notifications.

Geocache Description:

The cache is located along a footpath alongside the winding River Lune, close to the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale. Suitable for children, it's a perfect point on a small walk from Devil's Bridge to Ruskin's view.

The cache is micro-sized, so no space for swappables or travel bugs/coins. Cache contains log book and pencil. Parking is avaliable at the nearby Devil's Bridge where there are also toilets and a burger van! A perfect walk could be starting at the parking; walking along the footpath whilst grabbing this cache; clambering up the Radical Steps, so named because of their uneven nature; visiting the picturesque Ruskin's View and finishing off with a walk through Kirkby Lonsdale where there are many fantastic shops!

When rehiding the cache, please lodge firmly back into place because the River Lune floods reasonably highly a couple of times each year and if it gets higher than it has been in the recent year or so there is a possibility of the cache going swimming!! Thank you!
