Geocache Description:

Welcome to the War of the Roses puzzle cache series. The War of the Roses took place in England sporadically from 1455 to 1485 between 2 rival branches of the Royal House of Plantagenet. The rival branches were The House of Lancaster (red rose) and The House of York (white rose). This time the battles will take place in Pennsylvania in the form of geocaches.

ATTENTION: As of 8/8/2015, the puzzle was replaced for the third time. I know the logs and comments about updated coordinates can be confusing. If you enter the solution to the puzzle below (aka the original solution), you will be told the new coordinates for stage 1. Enter the correct coordinates that you will be given for stage 1 into the checker to get some extra information about the hide as well. If you would rather do an offset, just subtract 0.006 from the puzzle solution for North, and subtract 0.007 from the puzzle solution for West. Any questions please email me.

This series will involve six caches that when found you will be provided with a monarch for that cache that will be required to get the final cache WOTR: The House of Tudor. Each of the caches in the series will involve solving an online puzzle and a field puzzle(s). The first six caches are independent caches and can be found in any order.

This cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. After solving the puzzle it will involve a short hike on State Game Lands situated between the Lands of Susquehannock State Park and Wissler Run Park. There is no special equipment required to find this cache. Good luck in your searches!
