This cache is another in the series of caches in which drawp has traced some of the pathways of his heritiage. A paternal great grandfather who was an early gold miner at Tinkers and laterly a farmer at Lauder has his final resting place here at Drybread.
Tucked in along the eastern side of the Dunstan Mountains is the small cemetery of Drybread. This cemetery dating from 1870, was the main burial site for the early miners or settlers who worked in the nearby Cambrians, Tinkers and Matakanui gold fields or farmed or lived in the area. Access to the cemetery is off Glassford Rd and across some farm land.
The cache is at the cemetery site and is a suspended bison tube container with log book only. .
