Where There's a Will There's a Hathaway
How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
An unusual cache in the village of Shottery near Stratford-upon-Avon.Although an easy cache and dash the area deserves a more leisured visit if only for its' historic association with William Shakespeare.
The cache is located close to the home of Shakespeares wife Anne Hathaway and provides a classic view of the cottage.
The area is busy throughout the year and considerable cunning may be required in locating and replacing cache.
The road can also be busy so keep geokids and dogs under careful control and please be thoughtful when parking.
This is a replacement for the original which was being muggled quite regularly, suggesting it was being watched.
I have relocated about 6 metres from original but in a much more challenging hide which is still in full public view,so PLEASE be very stealthy in retrieving and replacing.
Hint also changed to be relevent to new hide.
Tree cover can affect gps accuracy.
The cache contains log and pencil.
The cover has been replaced December 2013 and is a tighter fit than before so PLEASE do not force it down, It need only be fitted gently.
