Welcome to the unpaved trails of Morse Park, some of Neosho’s hidden treasures. There are picnic areas, playgrounds, paved trails, a skateboard park, trout fishing and several other geocaches all nearby. This is a new cache in an old place. Well, almost. Some will recognize the location as the former home of “Concealing Your Roots”, but it has a new ammo can and a new twist. Park hours 6:00 AM till Midnight.
You know what your roots are, right? Your roots are where you came from and the road you took to get here. They include your ancestors, your life experiences and the places you have been. In other words, your past defines your present. You have traveled far and in many directions to reach the place you are now and your roots may have been concealed by time. Now it is time to try to regain the past. Unfortunately the past can never be returned in its original form. Remember this as you search for the past on the road to this cache. Past experience may lead you to believe you know where the cache is hidden but you may just be wrong. Expand your vision and look beyond the obvious in order to find that which you seek.
Begin your journey at N 36° 52.405 W 094° 21.722. The trail to the cache is a fairly gradual incline but with loose rock and occasional steep drop offs, caution is indicated. Please keep a good eye on children if you bring them. If you decide to go farther there are more trails and more caches to be had but be advised, the trails get steeper and the woods get deeper. Have fun!
