Geocache Description:

A Simple P&G in honor of fellow Unix/Linux nerd Cachers. This is a log only matchstick container so BYOP. Happy hunting!

Epoch time is the internal measurement of time used in most Unix and Linux operating systems. Although Unix was first developed in 1969, by a group of AT&T employees at Bell Labs the internal clock of the Operating system began on January 1st, 1970. This cache was placed on 1/26/11 marking the 15,000 day of Unix!

For many people Unix and Linux are relatively unknown, but they are in fact Giants in the computing world. From huge servers running Solaris, to home computers running Ubuntu, even Mobile Phones running Android, Unix is thriving, even after 15,000 days!

****Congrats to Pyromomma for the FTF****
Honorable mention goes to Cruisingroove and SC_GeoNinja. It was so close all 3 cachers ended up meeting at GZ.
