Geocache Description:

Located in the Sawyers Arms Reserve, a new water playgound on the edge of Christchurch.

This reserve has been under construction by the Christchurch City Council for some time with limited access being granted to some sports clubs to use the lakes. There is still a lot of work to be done.

The area is now open to the general public. Entrance gates are sometimes locked and as yet there is no signage to indicate opening and closing times. Dogs are permitted but must be on a lead at all times.

Park at the suggested parking area during daylight hours. Enjoy the views of the twin lakes separated by a causeway, then take a walk along the Otukaikino walkway. ( Not to be confused with other walkways with this name in the Belfast area.) This is a marked walking trail taking in a circuit of the lakes. The cache is located in a safe area 30m off the trail. The grass is long here and may not be suitable for strollers.

The cache is a flat camo snaplock container slightly less than 1 litre. It contains the log and accessories.
