Sticks and Stones

Welcome to Sticks and Stones

This is a 1 part cache is located close to Fiveways at Kalorama and is close to a number of other caches in the area. * The second part of the cache has had to be removed as it kept on disappearing

The cache is located at a road junction where the Coaches used to turn to come up the mountain before the Mt Dandy Tourist Road was made- pity the poor horses trudging up here.

You will see if you read many of the logs that the GPS bounces around quite a bit here - The waypoint is on the east side of the made road.

You will see a number of deserted house sites around here- they were demolished as part of a National Parks buy back program- the fire and landslip issues nearby were the reason. Some of the blocks around here have fantastic views but not enough flat land to put a car on. The wildlife has appreciated these buybacks- we get quite a few wallabies grazing just below the old quarry as well as the echidnas scratching for a feed.

Caution : Please do not attempt this cache on extreme or TFB days- this is an extremely fire prone area.
