Welcome to the Yawkey Sports Training Center!!! This is the Headquarters of the Special Olympics of Massachusetts (SOMA).
SOMA provides year-round sports training, athletic competition and other related programming for more than 10,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities. Their state-of-the-art conference and gym facilities are actually open to the public for rental purposes. For more information, please check out their website: specialolympicsma.org.
Located on Forest Street, there is easy access from Simarano Drive (exit 23C off route 495) or from Route 20 (to Ames Street). There is plenty of parking and the find should be wheelchair-friendly as well.
