The JOE cache series was started by altosaxplayer, a
member of the Tri-Cities Geocachers. The name JOE means "Just Off
Exit". The series was started as an Interstate 68 equivalent to the
"Loop to Loop" and I-81 cache series that was started in Nashville
TN by cgeek.
The JOE caches are placed no more than two tenths
of a mile from the exit and the hint is a dead give away to the
cache location. JOE caches are an easy way to pick up more cache
finds while traveling.
When planning our trips we always struggle with
which caches really will be quick grabs and which may end as
disasters and getting lost in an unfamiliar city.
This cache is meant as a quick grab for those
traveling through the area, a nice fast smiley for those that
already live here and anyone following the Scenic 40 cache
route.
