In December 2009, while taking our 1 year old Golden Retriever/German Shepard mix puppy for a walk in the desert, we stumbled upon a cache. The cache had a piece of paper that explained what geocaching was all about. Intrigued, we checked out the website, ordered a GPS'r, and became premium members. Now, we're addicted and Jasper accompanies us pretty much everywhere we cache. We stopped at this location, and Jasper chased a small animal to GZ. So, this is where we placed the cache!

At the time of placement, the dirt road (meets Highway 247 @ N34 25.272 W116 45.853) will get you to within about 100' of GZ and was in pretty good shape....should be accessible by most vehicles with decent ground clearance. From there, minor rock hopping is required to get you to the cache. As always, when caching in the desert, watch out for critters that call this area home!
