Geocache Description:

A drive-in cache at Ein Afek national park, home to many animals and plants.

The Ein Afek Nature Reserve, in the Acre Valley near the Haifa Bay suburb of Kiryat Bialik, is the last remnant of the Na‘aman Stream wetlands.

There are several ponds with catfish, turtles and more all around, and some water buffaloes wandering (fenced in).

In the spring, you can find many flowers blooming in the park.

There are lots of picnic tables and the walking trails are very easy. The park also has an old British outpost that is now used as a great viewpoint of the area. The site also offers an A/V movie, shown 4 times a day, depicting life in the reserve through a drop of water and leading visitors through the magical world of the reserve.

The site is easily accessible from Route 4, one intersection North of the 4/79 junction (next to the Kiryon shopping center).

We hid the cache just outside the gate, since the fee to enter the park is 20 NIS for adults and 9 NIS for kids, but the park is definitely worth it!

Park outside, across from the cemetery, to access the cache.
Parking is also available inside the park.

The cache is a small 35mm-size canister, in a ziploc bag. There is a logbook and a pencil in it.
