SK:
Svatuse je dedinka v regione Medzibodrozie. Jej historia siaha do
podvezi, v 15. storoci
kostol rozsirili na juznej strane a osadili tu i goticky juzny
portal, na vychodnej strane rozsirili svatynu s klenbou a opornymi
piliermi. Po poziari dostal kostol v roku 1794 novy malovany
doskovy strop a zabradlie na empore, v roku 1907 kostol rozsirili
severnou pristavbou. Romansko-gotickych kostolov v juznom Zempline
mozete vidiet aj viac, avsak na cintorine nedaleko svatusskeho
kostola uvidite unikatne nahrobky. Su to stihle a tenke andezitove
dosky, ktore pochadzaju z kamenolomu z druhej strany vrchu Pilis,
na upati ktoreho je kostol i cintorin. Je to miestny andezit s
unikatnou doskovitou odlucnostou, co ulahcuje jeho pouzitie –
uz v roku 1799 je pisomny zaznam o tomto doskovitom kameni, ktorym
mozno ukladat dlazbu bez dalsich uprav ... Svatusania sa jeho tazbe
venuju uz od stredoveku – andezitove dosky najdete zabudovane
v tenkych pasoch v neomietanych plotoch, stodolach, ulozene ako
dlazba na dvore. Nosili ho aj do
okolitych obci –
napriklad stredoveky kostolik v Kline nad Bodrogom GC
Kostolik ma z tohto andezitu vyskladanu klenbu svatyne –
vid foto. Najkrajsie kamenne dosky – stely – vsak
najdete ako nahrobky v hornej casti cintorina. Pri rucnom lamani
kamena v minulosti vraj robotnici odkladali nabok dlhsie suvisle a
tenke kusy, trochu im upravili koniec do trojuholnika alebo obluka
a skladovali ich zahrabane v hline alebo v pivnici, aby kamen
nestratil prirodzenu vlhkost. (Ked kamen vyschne, jeho rucne
opracovanie je ovela tazsie.) V pripade pohrebu bolo treba uz len
vyrypat meno a datumy neboztika,
pripadne pridat nejaku
ozdobku a trvaci nahrobok bol hotovy. Pred niekolkymi desatrociami
tu bolo takychto nahrobkov ovela viac – mnoho rodin vsak uz
nahradilo miestne tradicne kamenne dosky svojich predkov umelym
kamenom, zakryvajucim cely hrob. Vasou ulohou je obist kostol,
spocitat, kolko je na kostole okruhlych okien (X), dobre si pozriet
na cintorine stare andezitove nahrobky, najst medzi nimi ten, ktory
oznacuje hrob s menom KISS FERECNE a odcitat dva letopocty vo tvare
ABCD – ABED, dosadit do vzorca, vypocitat suradnice finalu,
vypochodovat hore cestickou medzi cintorinom a kostolom a vysplhat
sa vpravo hore ...

EN:
Svatuse is a village in the Medzibodrozie region. Its history goes
back to the beginning of the 13th century – that time was
built the church above the village. The church now belongs to the
Calvinist reformed church, but in the Middle Ages it was
consecrated to the All Saints, which gave the site its name as
well. The oldest part of the church is the Romanesque tower with
the main porch, in the 15th century the church was enlarged on the
southern side, a Gothic southern portal was added too, and a new
presbytary with a vault and buttresses was built at the eastern
part. After damaged by burn in 1794 a new painted wooden ceiling
and wooden railings of the tribune were completed, in 1907 an
adding on the nothern side. You can visit more Romanesque-Gothic
churches in the area of Southern Zemplin, but in the cemetery close
to the church in Svatuse you can see unique gravestones. There are
slim and narrow andesite broadstones, originating from the quarry
on the other side of the hill Pilis, on the foothill .... It is a
local andesite with a unique platy rift, enabling its usage very
much. There is a written record
from 1799 documenting,
that there is a plate-rifting species of stone which could be used
for pavement without further handling ... The locals are winning it
as surface-cutting since Middle Ages – you can find andesite
plates built in slim stripes in dry-walls for fences, barns,
courtyard-pavements, not just in Svatuse, but in neighbour sites as
well. In the medieval church in Klin nad Bodrogom GC KOSTOLIK the
vaulting of the presbytary was constructed by this stone –
see picture. The most impressive broadstones – stelas –
are to be found in the upper part of the cemetery. As the miners
worked in the quarry, they kept the slim and longest slabs, formed
their ending in a triangular or round shape and stored them covered
up with clay so that the stone could not loose its natural
moisture, because the manual handling of a dried stone would be
much harder ... In the case of a funeral only the name and date was
to add, and perhaps a small decoration too – and a longlife
gravestone was ready. A few decades ago a large number of these
gravestones was here, but more families changed the local
traditional stones on graves of their ancestors to artificial
stone, covering the whole grave. Your
task is visit the church
and count the number of its round windows (X), look carefully at
the gravestones in the cemetery, find the one with the name KISS
FERECNE and mark the data ABCD-ABED, fill into the formula, get the
final coordinates, march uphill on the road between church and
cemetery, turn to right and up and ....
