Geocache Description:

This is the second tribute cache I've published for my caching partner ZaZou. She was a beautiful Black-Tri Australian Shepherd. She died in my arms on December 26th 2010.
She fought so hard to stay here, but in the end neither money nor our love for each other could stop liver cancer from taking her away.

ZaZou cached with me since I began in the fall of 2007, and we smiley'd nearly 2100 caches together from park & grabs.....to hydro-caches.....to the virtual at the Lake Of The Clouds near the summit of Mt. Washington NH. She was the type of dog who was ALWAYS with me.
She went to work with me and then went caching with me. We visited dog parks all across the eastern part of the country. If I went to the bank, the auto parts store, the hardware store or service garage, she was there. We rode on trains, buses, horse-drawn carriages and ski lifts together. We dipped our paws in the ocean and climbed to the top of Mt. Washington. We were in Times Square in New York City on New Years Eve 2007......and spent the night in the wilds of northern Maine where the Aurora Borealis put the lights of Times Square to shame.
People rarely saw one of us without the other, and I gave her as enriched a life as is possible for a dog. She spent much of her time in MY world......but I also spent a lot time in HERS. She was part of nearly every aspect of my life. It's very hard for me to describe the depth of the bond we shared.

So, I decided to place THREE tribute caches in her memory.

This cache is placed at the end of a little secluded riverside road. It is just off exit 13 from Interstate 88, a road that we traveled HUNDREDS of times from Binghamton to Albany for my work. When it was late and I needed a nap, or ZaZou needed to "answer nature's call", I'd steer the car off the Interstate and park down in here for a little break from the road for me.........and pee time for ZaZou.

"Two hearts One love,
our lives each other endeavored to fill;
Though separate for now,
our bond will endure;
Together we roam the deep nights still...."

I love you ZaZou. We will be together again.

    This is meant to be a park N grab......BUT please feel free to trade any SMALL doggie related swag you wish. Since this is a Tribute cache for ZaZou, I would love it if you would take the time to upload a picture of your own special geodog.

    Congratulations to Team-Ducky for being the first to find ZaZou's second tribute cache and getting the FTF coin!!
