Geocache Description:

Nice neat little park.
Continuing on from the Theme that Sc00t started some years ago, trying to keep the memory of our Australian Defence Forces alive.
The Main Southern Railway line ---Tunnel runs under this hill not far from this park
Please park up the side street. Evans Lane. for safety reasons. The main road is very busy.

Remembrance Drive is a living tribute to those who served in the Australian Defence Forces in World War 2 and subsequent wars.
Originally started in 1954. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2 and His Royal Highness Prince Phillip each planted a Plane tree in Macquarie Place ,Sydney, and then Her Majesty planted a Snow Gum at the Australian War Memorial Canberra. The begining and the end of the Hume and Federal Highways between Sydney and Canberra.
