Geocache Description:

6/12 update: This is a NEW HIDE. PULL BY THE TETHER, DON'T REACH IN WITH YOUR HANDS!!!

BYOP.

Once upon a time there was a beautiful stump near this location that had the outline of a perfect 20 point Moravian star naturally in the heart of the wood. Seeing this stump always started us talking about Moravian Stars as we hiked these trails. It is widely believed that these stars were first created as a geometry project at a German school in the 1800's. The stars may have as few as 20 points and I have seen some with as many as 110 points. They are a beautiful sight when lit during Advent. Sadly in the drought the original cache location (and the hide stumped quite a few seasoned veteran cachers) became covered in brush and when it was cleared the stump was taken away as well. There is an extremely large pine that has roots like a star fallen to the ground. This is the new location of the cache. Beware of snakes and other critters, please.
Congrats to Team Troglodyte for FTF!
