Very short walk from Holywell village, on pathways.
Limited on-street parking is available in Holywell village – please consider the residents.
There are two good pubs....
Access to the bridges from Holywell village is via the footpath on the WEST side of the A192, walking downhill. Take extra care when crossing this busy, bendy road and walk in single file until you can fork right, down onto the bridle path. Not really suitable for wheelchairs.
As you will find from the inscriptions, the bridges were built some 193 years apart. The informative sign indicates the local flora and fauna, together with brief local histories .
You will have passed the Manor House (in “The Park” where the Holy Well is situated) at the top of the hill, which is a beautiful Grade II listed building. It dates from 1654, and is inscribed with the motto MEDIOCRIA FIRMA - 'The Middle Course is Safe'.
Nearby Seaton Delaval Hall is now owned by the National Trust and has undergone major improvements, and is well worth a visit, check opening times.
Very pleasant walking up-or-down The Dene (which exits at Seaton Sluice) from here.
The cache is a 35mm container, located alongside the path. Take a pencil/pen please.
