Militærets gamle kaserne ligger sør i sentrum av Harstad. Kasernen er en tømmerbygning som stod ferdig i 1921. I følge tegningene skulle bygget være eneboliger og tomannsboliger tiltenkt offiserer, men ble tatt i bruk som kaserne for soldater.
I 2004 ble bygningen solgt til private, og nå finner vi flere kontorer her.
Old military barracks located in the south in the center of Harstad. Barracks is a timber building which was completed in 1921. According to the drawings the building was supposed to house single-family homes and duplexes intended for officers, but was used as barracks for soldiers.
In 2004 the building was sold to the private sector, and now we find several offices here.
