I have been seeing “Challenge of the Century” cache series pop up in areas where we have traveled. I’ve been thinking about several of the challenge caches we have in our area and some of them make it so that you limit your finds to spread them out over a time period. Well, here is a challenge that does not limit how many you get in one day. You can work on all 8 challenges at once: Challenge of the Century: Earthcaches; Challenge of the Century: Traditionals; Challenge of the Century: Multi; Challenge of the Century: Virtuals; Challenge of the Century: Unknown; Challenge of the Century: Letterboxes; Challenge of the Century: Events and the Challenge of the Century: Lucky 7.
Your goal for this cache challenge is to have found one hundred (100) Traditional caches in order to log this cache. Many of you have already qualified to find this cache. I still remember when we found our first 100 and second 100 caches. It was very exciting and we thought we’d found so many. Now a 100 caches are sometimes found in one day when you go to a high concentration cache area. As you do this cache, remember the excitement you had when you reached that goal.
To know where you stand, go to your profile and click on geocaches. It divides up your finds into each type of cache. If you have found 100 Traditional caches, you can go log this cache as a find.
LOGGING REQUIREMENTS: You must have a minimum of 100 Traditional cache finds to be able to log this cache. Please state how many traditional caches you have found in your log. I will verify by checking your profile. If you have not found 100 traditional caches, your log will be deleted. You will need to go out and cache to meet the logging requirement.
So, if you are new to geocaching, go out there and cache to your heart’s content and before you know it, you will have met the requirements.
