Geocache Description:


A new attraction for McLaren Vale was received on January 19th 2011.
Situated on the Gemmel Tassie Reserve adjacent to the War Memorial this 42 tonne Leopard tank was retired in 2007 after nearly 30 years of service. The German-made tank, 9.5m long and 2.6m high is dedicated to those who have served on peacekeeping operations such as East Timor and the Solomon Islands, given that none of the Leopards saw combat and have never fired a shot in anger.
Our respect and its close proximity to Tassie Devil GC1V1AK precluded us from placing a cache on the actual tank so no climbing is involved at GZ.
Photos will be uploaded once the building fence is removed.
You are looking for a camouflaged eclipse tin containing log and pencil only. Stealth may be required.
