Geocache Description:


The cache is not at the posted coordinates. Although many people are excited about the downtown construction, it meant relocation for some geocaches, and this one had to be moved a little to the north. What you need to do to find the final location is to add 0.324' to the north and subtract 0.294' from the west. The additional waypoint provided is where the cache is. Good luck on your quest!

This is a toughie, but it's not nearly as tough as its cache neighbor to the southeast. This cache honors one of the great pursuits in U.S. geocaching, State Capitol Quest (GCV7NG). As of 2/2/2011, that challenge has been completed only once, though it's nearly five years old. That challenge requires you to visit all 50 U.S. state capitols, find a cache nearby and post your photo with the building in the background.

The "semi-quest" has a couple of key differences from its neighbor. The biggest is that finding a cache near "only" 25 state capitols is what's needed to qualify. Another difference is that caches near the U.S. Capitol are fine for DC, which may count as a "state." Also, the cache location is given. Posting photos, while encouraged, is not required.

When you're halfway to completing GCV7NG, don't ease up -- keep going! But, seek out this cache and celebrate a smiley. With 25 state capitols under your belt, you've earned it!
