Geocache Description:

The first recording of a church at Wilsford was in 1053. Unusually it is dedicated to St Michael, not a saint who lived on earth but a heavenly vision, and does not include the usual addition of And All Angels.
In 1852 the church was completely rebuilt in flint and stone maintaining the original architectural style with the exception of the tower which is Norman and contains some original work including the doorway in the north wall. Records show three bells in 1553 and later bells were dated 1572, 1585 and 1601 although only one now remains.
Nearby the War Memorial had seating for 10 added in the 1930s to provide rest from the rigorous pastime of cycling and for weary hikers.

Cache is a 35mm black film pot.

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
