Several animals have escaped from the Forest Park Zoo and it is up to you to find them and bring them back to where they belong. Each escaped animal is hiding some where in Forest Park and you will need to hike down Hardesty to Wildwood and then back up Ridge to find them all. Each animal is hiding close to the trail so there is no need to get of the trail until you are close. There is only one animal hiding in each zone and it is up to you to figure out which one is hiding in the zone when you get there. Once you are in the zone they will be within approximately 40ft of the trail. Once you have found and captured all the escaped animals you need to bring them back to the zoo and return the animals to their respective homes.
When the zookeeper confirms that the job has been completed he will hand you the directions to the final cache location, which is located down Springville. Due to heavy tree coverage getting into the zones might mean you have to move off the trail a little bit, this is especially true for the second hideout, but I have tried to expand the size of each zone such that this should not be necessary.
Please give me feedback on how accurate the zones are and how difficult it is to enter them. To complete this cache you will hike between 1 and 2 miles on trails in Forest Park.
This cache is not at the posted coordinates; they are to the starting point of the adventure. The Whereigo cartridge is available from the related Web page. Be sure to log the WIG Cart upon completion. Hopefully you find it entertaining, and I also hope that this one will work for most. Please log the WIG cartridge at wherigo.com and the cache at geocaching.com. If you run into issues with the cartridge please let me know and I’ll try and fix it.
The cache is an ammo can a little bit of the trail and starts out with an un-activated micro Wherigo GC for FTF, and a little bit of swag.
The final location has been moved to stay within the PP&R regulation and is now located on the righthand side of the trail as you head down the trail. Final coordination changes are +2 to North and -9 to West. I will see if I can resurrect the WIG and updated the cartridge with the new location.
