It's Abandoned Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

JoesBar: The cache has been stolen. I'm disappointed. I custom made the container for this location. I, mistakenly, believed that this was impervious to muggles. So, never underestimate the power of muggles. I hope those that found this cache enjoyed the hide.

Geocache Description:

FTF goes to: The Keeper Family!

Wildwood park is part of the Cleveland Lakefront State Park.
There is a waypoint for the entrance. The drive is at East 174 st. and Lake Shore Blvd.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO APPROACH THE CACHE FROM OTHER PROPERTIES. There is a fence that will keep you out.
There is a parking area near the entrance and a larger one further down the drive. Either one will suffice.

The Euclid Creek runs through here and empties into Lake Erie. As such, this area has had various uses over the years. Boat building, a private club, a girl's school and to the west, a former amusement park, Euclid Beach. As you explore the area you will find leftovers from these human activities.
Since the land is now used as a park, you will also find the natural world at work. This is a great birding area. Occasionally a bald eagle will visit here. Deer are often in the park. There is evidence of beaver too. Many folks fish the creek.

A permit for this cache has been granted by ODNR, Cleveland Lakefront Park office.
