Geocache Description:

A little hike down a trail and along Twenty Mile Creek. Twenty Mile Creek rises in Chautauqua County, N. Y., and empties into the lake in North East Township, near the State line. It is from sixteen to eighteen miles long.

Park at the provided coordinates. Follow the trail down into the gorge. Cache is located just off the trail and there in no need to cross the creek.

Near the bottom of the trail you will see some remnants of concrete abutments that supported a trolley bridge that spanned twenty mile creek. The trolley was operated by the Buffalo and Lake Erie Traction Company and operated from 1901 – 1933.

Like all the areas creeks, 20 Mile runs through private property and is open to fishing and hiking by the courtesy of the landowners. Please be courteous, clean and respectful of the area.

Please use stealth when fishermen are nearby. Please rehide the cache at least as good as you found it.

Don't forget to bring a camera!
