Geocache Description:

A quick cache and dash located at a Victorian memorial to the founder of Wolverhampton, Lady Wulfruna.
The location is quite busy, both with cars and pedestrians so some stealth will be required. The cache itself is located up a bank and will require a bit of a scramble, especially if wet.
Cache is the standard clip-lock box.
You could park right next to it at quiet times but generally parking a bit further up the road (away from the roundabout) would be recommended.

Lady Wulfruna was a 10th century Saxon noblewoman who founded a monastary in what subsequently became Wolverhampton (and is now St Peter's Church).
This cache is at a site known as Lady Wulfruna's Well, although there is no firm historic link. The memorial dates from 1901 and was originally a drinking fountain, although the components of this have long since gone.
I have upgraded the terrain to "2". I originally used the online rating tool which came out as a "1" as no climbing ropes, crampons, space suits etc were required and the risk of falling into an active volcano was minimal! If you don't want to come down you can just carry on up!
As the year has progressed there are now a lot of nettles etc concealing the cache - These can (largely) be avoided by not going the obvious way!
