Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of presidential caches. The cache is not at the posted coordinates, so please do go there.

These caches will come in a variety of sizes, difficulties and terrains. They will be placed all across the area. Hopefully everyone will enjoy finding them.

Rutherford B. Hayes was the nineteenth U.S. president. He was October 4, 1822 in Ohio. He died on January 17, 1893. He was president from March 4, 1877 until March 4, 1881. He was affiliated with the Republican party. Hayes was elected with the smallest electoral margin in history. He won by a single vote after a special commission had to be convened to determine the assignment of the electoral votes from several disputed states. Of course, the most important thing about him is that he is a very distant relative of mine.

I decided to throw a puzzle cache into the mix with this presidential series. Some of you may have seen this type of puzzle before, but I don't believe there are any similar ones in the area. The cache is not at the posted coordinates. Clues are also not at the posted coordinates, but nearby. Please respect the area.

The final coordinates for this cache are at: N 42 0A.B63 W 079 5C.D92 To find A,B,C and D you must solve the following puzzle. The key to unlocking the puzzle is 11391.

A = (R4C5) - (R8C6)
B = (R3C3) - (R4C4)
C = (R5C2) - (R7C3)
D = (R3C1) - (R6C2)
