We were fortunate enough to spend part of our first vacation since 1976 here on this beautiful island and wanted to share with our fellow cachers one of the hidden treasures that we found while we were here. Not only are the pastries inside the nearby building VERY good, but the people we met inside were the BEST! You don't have to purchase anything to grab this cache, you don't have to even go inside, but if you do - and if you are hungry - you will not be disappointed. {:o) As an added bonus for us geocachers - Wi-Fi is up and running 24 hours a day. You are welcome to use it inside or out.... just another element of proof the kindness of the property owners here
Now, back on track...... You are searching for a bison tube hidden in a very normal geocaching manner. The cache is not meant to be really difficult, but to provide a bit of fun along your caching journey. The owners, after our explanations of geocaching, approved the placement of this cache and gave it it's name. If you see them out and about, tell them thanks and "Hi" from the likestocanoe gang. If you see that the cache is in need of attention, just let them know. We have left extra containers and logs with them.
Cache is located among some 100+ year old live oaks and is almost wheel chair accessible. It is NOT in or around any of the buildings. We sincerely hope that you enjoy finding this cache as much as we enjoyed placing it and visiting Dauphin Island.
