This cache is found within the boundaries of the main picinic area in Totara Park found at the end of Wairere Road. The area has a playground, pool, tennis court, picnic tables, toilets and grassy areas which make this park a great place for all the family.
Depending on the time of day you choose to attempt this cache there may be many muggles nearby as this location is extremely popular. As such we do not want to draw any unnecessary attention to what you are doing so we have made this one hopefully quite simple for you.
The cache is a disguised 1L Sistema container found along the small slightly raised boardwalk. Please be aware of muggles in the area. There is no need to climb the fence and please remember to re-place the cache exactly where you found it so the next people can find it too.
Dogs are welcome to accompany you on your treasure hunt however the council requires they be on a leash except while walking the Bridal Path.
The tennis courts are freely available all year round however the pools are only open from 10am to 6.45pm in February and from 10am to 7.45pm in March.
Please note that the gates to the parking area close at 9pm in Summer and 7pm in Winter. There is however ample parking on the road nearby which is always readily available.
