Cache is located in a Fish and Wildlife area but you don't need the new Discovery Pass (or your existing WDFW permit for these areas ONLY) for this one. To access the south side of I-82 turn south on Mellis Rd. off the Yakima Valley Highway. There is a large parking area and a break in the fence to allow access into the wildlife area. This is a terrific area to hike, get some exercise and take geo-dogs for a run.
Coords may be a bit spotty with all the trees around but finding the cache should be easy enough. As always, during the warmer months be mindful of snakes and ticks and always use a stick to probe into hiding spots. Carry a camera because you never know what you'll see in the way of wildlife here. I've seen hawks, eagles and all sorts of mammals. Above all else... have some fun and enjoy!
