Winter friendly regular sized cache.
Siberian Hangout has been placed during a winter with a lot of snow. It is named such since we were thinking that with all the snow it must be like Siberia (but not really). We placed the cache using snowshoes, which we think would be almost necessary except for the most determined and rugged winter hikers. LOTS of deer tracks near the cache and a couple of neat LARGE rocks.
Best access is at a small parking area on Beach Rock Road which is off Rte 318 in Barkhamsted CT. We love this area and ride through here often. Be sure to stop at the dam and look up and down the valley.
