At stage 1 there is no reason to go on to the private property! The number can be found without leaving your vehicle but please be safe and legal, try not to hinder traffic as this is a active street and a bus route.
At the posted coordinates you will find a pole with some numbers on it. These numbers are black with a yellow back ground and start with a “P”. Disregard the “P” which is the FIRST character.
For your projection distance in meters take the sum of the first 3 numbers after the “P” and multiply by 209. i.e. (a+b+c)*209= distance in meters.
For you projection bearing take the sum of the first 5 numbers after the “P”, multiply by 10 and add 3.
i.e. (a+b+c+d+e) * 10 + 3 = bearing in degree’s (true).
Remember to record the clues found in the cache, they will be needed to solve the final
A Murder has occurred within Pickering! The local Police are unable to solve the crime and they are calling for you, the Geocaching public to help, it seems the murderer is one of our own local cachers.
You have it within your power to solve this crime. By the process of elimination, finding clues at all locations, you can determine where the murder took place, the weapon that was used and most important of all, and the identity of the murder.
Once you know these three facts you can solve the murder and capture the murder in the “Game of Murder” at the final location to be published shortly.
