We would like to welcome you to the 5th Annual Celebrate Summer
event.
Where: Lake Fausse Pointe State Park:
When: July 30th, 2011
Time: 9am until 3 pm
Cost: Free (DONATIONS WELCOMED)
What to bring: Side dish, family, tent to camp, a smile, GPS, and
be ready for a fun day of activites.

This is the only Annual Geocaching event where all of the Southern
Geocaching Associations come together for a fun filled weekend of
getting to know one another. If you have not experienced the event
before you will not want to miss out on the fun.
Event details: Friday night will be a Pre-event hosted by one of
the Geocaching Organizations for a campfire meet and greet, early
check in.
Saturday morning you will come to Registration desk and pick up a
name badge and check in any travel bugs and coins.
From there you will find a list of activities planned for the day.

Head over to the cooking area to drop off any side dishes you have
chosen to bring. (please list what you will be bringing when you
log attendance)
Then you can pick up a list of all the games, and or caches in the
park to participate in.
We will have early refreshments for those that would like to stay
at the pavilion and socialize.
There is talk of a Geocoin Poker tournament, so go ahead and start
making plans to attend.
GeoBingo is on the list, a favorite for everyone, young and old. OK
maybe not the dogs.
Camping information is: 50 tent sites at $18.00 a night, cabins are
150.00 night, again call number above or check

The nearest hotels are an hour away.
There will several of us bringing kayaks since we will be on a The
lake,boat launching is free with you park admission. You may rent a
kayak or canoe there as well for a fee of
Boats $15 per day includes 2 paddles and 3 life jackets
Canoes $5 per hour or $20 per day includes paddles, life
jackets
Kayaks $5 per hour or $30 per day includes paddles, life
jackets
* Additional life jackets can be rented for $1 each where
available
* Price varies with concessionaire rentals -
Who knows we may have to hide a cache or two for some extreme
caching at the event.
