Here's a huge, kid friendly, close to the car, TRAVEL BUG HOTEL AND TOY STORE. Named for the adjacent apple orchard.
Not a P&G, but easily fun and safe. Bring those kids as they'll light up with selection of swag as well as your dog, your aunt Ethel & Grandpa, too. An easy walk and designed to be a quick find and a handy Iowa Great Lakes location which is large enough to accommodate most all sizes of those Travel Bugs that are headed to the 4 corners of the world. Ample parking and safe even in winter although nicer in warmer weather. You should be able to avoid much muggle interest even though a wide path leads you most of the way through the entry to this fine property.
Some hunting in Fall but not a busy place. A lovely path with safe stream - a good family trip.
