Geocache Description:

A Puzzle by ikolor

Cache is not at posted coordinates. SPLAT! Don't go there!!!

Once upon a time there were two geocachers who went out geocaching. They were hoping to have a busy day by finding six different types of caches: a traditional cache, a multi-stage cache, a virtual cache, an earth cache, a puzzle cache and a letterbox hybrid.

The first one they attempted was a traditional cache, a park and grab, to get the day going. They found it quickly, signed the log and headed for cache number two. This was a nine stage multi cache. The two friends arrived at Ground Zero and began their hunt. A couple of hours later they found an ammo can and signed the log.

Off they went to the virtual cache. Ground Zero was at a triangular shaped house, known as the "bat house." They had to answer eight questions about the bats, including how they got here, how long they have been here, the species of bats living here and other information about the structure. The couple snapped a few photos got the necessary information and off they went to the next Ground Zero, the earth cache.

This earthcache was a giant sinkhole. Logging requirements included counting the number of steps it took them to reach the bottom of the sinkhole. They took it one step at a time to make sure they counted correctly. They also had to answer six questions about the sinkhole: How did this sinkhole form? What caused it to form? When did it form? What kinds of animals live here? Name three types of plants growing here. How long is the trail around the sinkhole? They got the info and took a photo of themselves at the bottom of this beautiful spot and headed back up to the top and off to find the puzzle cache.

They had solved the puzzle two days ago and had it on the agenda to find today. Finding the cache was much easier than solving the puzzle, but once they had the green success page they gave each other a high five and entered the correct coordinates in their GPS.

The Letterbox Hybrid was the last of the caches for today. This involved learning a bit about the history of the area in order to locate the cache. The friends had done their research, consulted their sources and knew exactly where to look. Bam! there it was!

After a very busy day of caching the pair went to grab a bite to eat and drink an ice cold beer to celebrate their accomplishment of finding all these caches in a single day! What a busy day!
