Geocache Description:

A driving tour of Reedsport, Oregon. The above coordinates are for the first stop along this multi-cache. You will gather information at each of the 5 stops to figure out the location of the final cache.

This cache was developed, as a class project, by students in my geocaching class at Reedsport Community Charter School.

(1st Stop)
*Go to N 43 42.282 W 124 05.727
This carving was done by Chief Lelooska, and placed at its current location on September 5, 2000. Lelooska means “to cut against wood with a knife”.
The name of the center behind the pole gives the first clue for the final cache.
Take the name of the center. Use the middle word.
A= number of letters in the middle word of the building’s name MINUS 4.

This war memorial is the setting for a large gathering on Memorial Day each year. For the past few years, a military parachute team has landed near the park to start the occasion. A band from the Marine Corps at 29 Palms has played here in the past. A plaque in front of the war memorial tells when the Reedsport-Gardiner Lions Club dedicated the memorial. Take the year of the dedication and ADD one year. B= the LAST digit of the resulting year (197B)

This generous gift to Reedsport by CDABA is a local landmark. Find the plaque that reads “ The Famous ________ _________ Watson “. C=the sum of the number of letters in the two blanks.

(4th Stop)

Look for the second word in the tile company name(located in bottom right side of picture), who supplied the tiles. (Illahe _________) X= number of letters in the second word.

(5th Stop)

Look for the plaque about the CCC Camp that was located on this site. The clue is the Camp Company number at the top of the plaque. Y= the FIRST digit Z= the SUM of the last two digits.

Cache is a green ammo can that has been cammoed. Cache contents: FTF package of AA batteries and geocoin, log book, pencil and other goodies.

Safest access is by using Ranch Road by the ball fields. Park by the Underpass. Enjoy!
