Welcome back to the Maumee State Forest!


As of October 2010, new geocaches are allowed in Maumee State Forest. It is an honor to be the first to receive a permit. Cache container is a regular sized lock and lock, hidden at ground level. All geocaches in the State Forest are available from 6am until 11pm.

Maumee State Forest is open to public hunting. Geocache participants must be informed and aware of hunting seasons, particularly deer gun seasons. Bright orange clothing is recommended during deer gun season.
