The cache is located on Luke's Mountain, Mournes, Co.Down.
Luke’s Mountain, though one of the smaller mountains in the Mournes is well worth a visit. You can reach it from several directions but the easiest way is either starting at the Trassey Car Park, heading up the track to the sheepfold, then walking in an easterly direction over rougher ground to the summit; or from Tollymore Forest Park using the trails to the forest edge and then up a delightful rocky valley with a lively little stream.
From the summit you will have a marvellous view (if the weather is good) of Tollymore, the Drinns, Slievenabrock, Slieve Commedagh and the Pot of Legawherry. If you have time have a cuppa and soak in the panorama.
Remember, that even a small mountain must be treated with the respect all mountains deserve. Wear appropriate clothing and have a map and compass which you know how to use.
The container is a smallish orange box. Please return it carefully in an upright position – doing so should keep its contents dry.
