THIS CACHE IS NOT ACCESSIBLE FROM THE FREEWAY!!

STAY OFF THE ROCKS!

The cache is in an army medical first aid kit and is a quick and safe find. The area will be somewhat grown over during the summer but is still easily accessible as the growth will be short for a few more years. Currently there are no black berry brambles along the route just young trees to wander around.

This cache is located on the back fill portion of the road that was washed out during the flood of Nov 2006. This portion of the road was washed out and the residents up the valley were cut off for several days until a detour was routed up along the freeway shoulder and back down a few hundred feet to the east. The bridge you drive cross just before arriving was also damaged during the flood and the east end had to be help up by a large crane for several weeks while they back filled the footings at the east end.

To repair the road they had to back fill from the river below you to the road above you. They started with 15-20 ton boulders slowly decreasing in size until they got to the road bed. It took about 6 weeks before the road was reopened.
