The cache is close to parking and the trailhead so it should be a quick grab, but I recommend also taking the time to follow the short shellrock trail that heads SE along a berm. It will bring you to the namesake boardwalk with an observation platform and nice view.
Please be aware of the hunting schedule at DuPuis as it is closed to non-hunters during most hunting seasons.
The DuPuis Management Area is a 21,875 acre multi-use natural area located in northwestern Palm Beach and southwestern Martin Counties. A primitive campground, equestrian center, and many miles of hiking trails are available.
Cache placement has been approved by SFMWD. DuPuis management is very open to geocache placements; please fill out the SFWMD online geocaching permit form for each hide.
