Cache is located in a Fish and Wildlife area and you will need the new Discovery Pass (or your existing WDFW permit for these areas ONLY) for this one if you're planning on using the parking lot. This is a terrific area to hike, get some exercise and take geo-dogs for a run. Mountain bikes can even use the the trail/road but be watchful for puncture vine.
As always, use caution whenever reaching into hiding holes and it's best to carry a walking stick for such purposes. I've never seen rattlesnakes in this area but have seen gopher and ribbon snakes during the warmer months. Also either use insect repellent or check for ticks on clothing during the warmer months. There is abundant wildlife in the area so keep your eyes open and camera handy. While setting caches in this area I observed herons, hawks and deer.
I love rocky road ice cream! GZ is at the parking area and the last 15' is via unstable river rock. Please be careful as these rocks tend to roll under foot. Please re-hide cache well so muggles don't stumble upon it accidentally.
