Years ago this Road was the main road through this valley...it is Old 395, now named Brown Road for the town of Brown that used to be at the north end (remnents of the town still remain) The Train tracks used to run on what is now a cleared out hiking/biking trail. The railroad went deep into the owens valley and 395 goes all the way to Canada.
