Geocache Description:

Here's the story, according to Scott Mason of WRAL's Tar Heel Traveller:
(You can see the original television segment here -
http://www.wral.com/lifestyles/travel/asset_gallery/3337071/
- it aired in September of 2008)

In the summer of 1964, God spoke to Christopher McMilan and told him that the new medium of television was evil. Although McMillan was only the fourth person in his neighborhood to own a television, he proceeded to BURY HIS TELEVISION IN THE YARD after hearing the revelation. He then commissioned this monument at the very spot where he buried his T.V. as a sign to the ages. Being a common laborer, this was an expensive undertaking, but when God speaks, what are you gonna do??

Considering that the top television shows back in 1964 where I Love Lucy, Gilligan's Island and The Beverly Hillbillies. One can only wonder what Christopher McMillan (Who died in 1985) would think of today's shows The Sopranos and Skins.
