Logical placement to complete a nice Walk near the Wild-Side of a corridor near the defunct Southern Spur out of Sacramento.
Like the other areas of Walk on the Wild Side # 1-# 7 , this is also near a remnant of the Southern Spur defunct rail corridor that used to serve the agricultural interest to the South and particulaly the once thriving asparagus and fruit crops of the Delta.This Southern Spur was an off shoot of the Southern Pacific Rail Road and ran North and South along the River and across the often flooded areas of the Riverside District outside of the city proper South of the depot in downtown Sacramento.
The areas along this southern route of this Defunct Rail Road spur have become a recreational setting for the residents of the areas along its path.
Enjoy the views and the walk, please be respectful of the private areas and Please Tread Lightly.
Parking is available in the area .
