This nano cache is located by the Bridgewater Canal in Stretford. Parking is available at the Stretford Marina car park or by walking along the canal path which is accessible from a number of entrance points such as Edge Lane, Stretford or by Kellogs in Trafford Park.
Bring a pen!
Stretford Marina - a place nobody in Manchester seems to know exists, not even taxi drivers. Car parking is available and is a nice starting point for a walk along the canal. Plenty of geese and ducks to see and canal boats pass by quite regularly.
The path along the Bridgewater canal has recently been re-surfaced and made much wider making the walk from the marina to Stretford tram stop much nicer! The path past Waters Meeting can be muddy if walking to town or through Trafford Park!
A metal bridge crosses the canal at Waters Meeting which marks a split in the canal with town and Castlefield to the right and Barton, Worsley and Leigh to the left (if walking from Stretford). Views of Manchester from the bridge include Old Trafford and Beetham Tower (tall "Tetris" like skyscraper which is home to the Hilton hotel and a large number of apartments).
